Accounts team leader

Real People Recruitment are working for a fast paced company in  Dublin to recruit for an Accounts payable team leader for their busy shared services offices.

The role will be mainly  to work on the Assistant Accounts AP team whose main purpose is to support the AP Manager in the effective and efficient operation of the Shared Services AP team.  This newly appointed Team Leader will work to service one of our business units with the support of two to three team members and this should be done by building relationships with the internal customers to the highest standard and guiding, defining best practice and mentoring the AP’s in their functions

Main Responsibilities

• Guide/Mentor/Supervise the work of the AP team, identify best practice ensure follow ups and assign/manage workload of the team to the highest possible customer service standard

• Form and build relationships with each of our BU finance teams/MD’s

• Assist in preparation of weekly/ period end accounts (Two Month Ends per Month for different business units)

• Month End Accrual Reconciliation (Large volume)

• Month End Bank Reconciliations (Large Volume of transactions)

• Monthly Creditors Reconciliations

In order to be shortlisted for this position, you will need:-

Person Specification / Core Competencies

• Must have proven track record in managing a team

• Min Leaving certificate or higher

• Accounts Technician or part qualified (full study support is available)

• Previous experience in a busy office environment is required

• Be extremely proficient in Word & Excel

• Experience of Sun accounts system would be a distinct advantage

• Good aptitude for figures
