Human Resources Administrator

Real people recruitment is now inviting applications for the position of Human Resources Administrator on behalf of one of Ireland’s major sporting entities.

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the HR team and ensure the effective operation of the Human Resources department. This position will involve performing duties of a sensitive and confidential nature.

This position is being offered on a 3 year fixed-term, full-time basis

Human Resources Administrator

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To provide administrative support to the HR team and ensure the effective operation of the Human Resources department. This position will involve performing duties of a sensitive and confidential nature.

IDEAL CANDIDATE’S KEY QUALITIES:

Essential:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a busy HR administration role
  • A third level qualification in HR
  • Knowledge of HR practices, policies, and procedures
  • Experience of working with an HR software System
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
  • Full clean driving license

Desirable:

  • Experience with HR Locker, an HR software
  • Experience working in a Sporting organization

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administration support to the HR Team
  • Provide assistance to the Head of HR as required
  • Maintain the HR system, HR Locker
  • Maintain changes to personnel data, contract type, salary, etc.
  • Full responsibility for Employee files; audit files regularly, arrange for paper files to be archived; Develop filing process and ensure compliance
  • Process all new starters & leavers
  • Maintain a list of player movements
  • Generate contract packs
  • Recruitment administration
  • Administer staff requests, such as letters and take ownership by being proactive with queries in terms of follow up and escalation
  • Manage all leave types including Maternity, Parental and sick leave
  • Monitor annual leave, contract status & probation and ensure follow up with the relevant manager
  • Administration of the Health Insurance and Pension Scheme
  • Manage all requests for work experience
  • Create Purchase Order numbers as required
  • Coordinate HR meetings with all HR Staff
  • Processing of employment permits and tracking permit end dates to ensure renewals are processed in time
  • Management of the company car fleet
  • Provide assistance on HR projects as required
  • PERFORMANCE MEASURES
  • Maintain effective relationships with staff within the company
  • Carry out duties and responsibilities as mentioned above to an effective and efficient standard;
  • Establish efficient work practices;
  • Portray a competent and professional image of the company on behalf of the HR Department
  • KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
  • KPI’s to be agreed with HR Business Partner, on an annual or six-month basis.

Functional: Head of Human Resources

Provincial HR Staff

Payroll Administrator

Nationwide Staff
